The Sterilization Technical Assistant is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, packaging, sterilization, and traceability of reusable medical devices. He/she performs these tasks in strict compliance with hygiene and safety protocols, directly contributing to patient safety and the quality of care provided in the operating room and related departments.
Receive and sort medical devices from various healthcare departments.
Clean and disinfect instruments using washer-disinfectors.
Check the cleanliness of medical devices before packaging.
Load and unload autoclaves, ensuring that sterilization cycles are properly followed.
Monitor sterilization equipment parameters and ensure proper cycle execution (quality control).
Verify sterility using biological and chemical indicators.
Store and organize sterile medical devices.
Ensure complete traceability of all operations (batch records, cycles, dates).
Distribute sterile devices to care units according to their needs.
Knowledge of hygiene, disinfection, and sterilization standards in a hospital setting.
Proficiency in sterilization techniques (autoclaves, washer-disinfectors).
Understanding of disinfection and asepsis protocols.
Familiarity with traceability management tools (tracking software).
Ability to work with precision, organization, and method.
Aptitude for strictly adhering to hygiene and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good command of the French language.
Permanent or fixed-term contract depending on profile.
Work rate to be defined (80% to 100%) with hours adapted to operating room requirements.
